Further, you are provided with file contents of several files in the repository that contain relevant code (in <code> brackets). It may be necessary to use code from third party dependencies or files not contained in the attached documents however. Your task is to identify the issue and implement a test case that verifies a proposed solution to this issue. More details at the end of this text.\n<issue>\n      The PQ checkpoint strategy has been modified to write to a temporary file and then atomically moved to the final checkpoint file name. \n\nOn **Windows** but under some unknown specific circumstances, an `AccessDeniedException` is thrown by the move operation. This problem _seems_ to happen when using layered filesystems such as with NAS and/or when running in containers. \n\n#10234 introduced the `queue.checkpoint.retry` to mitigate that problem by [catching that exception and retrying the operation](https://github.com/elastic/logstash/blob/20f5512103eee552d1f24caeb238cb405a83e19b/logstash-core/src/main/java/org/logstash/ackedqueue/io/FileCheckpointIO.java#L103-L119).\n\nWe still have two problem with this:\n\n- Unfortunately the root cause is not yet understood. \n\n- The mitigation sometimes does not work. \n\nOn the later point, I think we should revisit the `queue.checkpoint.retry` strategy which does a **single** retry and does a sleep of 500ms before retrying. \n\nUntil we figure the root cause for this I think we should improve that strategy by having multiple (configurable?) retries using a backoff policy (exponential?). Start with a much lower sleep and increase until we reach a retry limit.\n\n</issue>\nPlease generate test cases that check whether an implemented solution resolves the issue of the user (at the top, within <issue/> brackets).\nYou may apply changes to several files.\nApply as much reasoning as you please and see necessary.\nMake sure to implement only test cases and don't try to fix the issue itself.\nYou are not allowed to read git history.\n", "memory": "8192m", "runnable": false, "difficulty": "hard", "language": "", "cpus": "", "instruction_truncated": false, "category": "test-generation", "compose": false, "has_solution": true, "oracle": null, "docker_image": "", "taskset": "devopsgym", "tags": ["test-generation", "devops-bench"]}, "runs": []}
